The NHS East Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) are proposing the following changes to acute inpatient cardiology services provided by ESHT:
HOSC agreed at its meeting on 2nd December 2021 that this proposal was a ‘substantial variation to services’ requiring formal consultation with the Committee under health regulations. The consultation will be conducted via a Review Board comprising the following members: · Cllr Colin Belsey · Cllr Christine Robinson · Cllr Mike Turner · Cllr Penny diCara · Cllr Sorrell Marlow-Eastwood The Review Board will submit its report and recommendations for consideration by the full HOSC at a future meeting. The report will then be submitted to the CCG ahead of its final decision. The Committee will then consider whether the decision is in the best interest of health services locally. Timelines for the review are subject to NHS decision-making |

Ophthalmology |
The NHS East Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) are proposing the following changes to day case and outpatient ophthalmology services provided by ESHT: Locate ophthalmology services at two hospital sites, Eastbourne District General Hospital and Bexhill Hospital, supported by one stop clinics at both hospitals and a diagnostic eye hub at Bexhill Hospital.
